Advertising Policies & Important Information

These policies apply to paid advertising and promotional placements purchased through South Carolina Meet Up. Please review them before purchasing an advertising package.

Advertising Eligibility

South Carolina Meet Up reserves the right to approve or decline advertising requests. Businesses, organizations, creators, events, products, and services should be appropriate for the community and consistent with South Carolina Meet Up community rules and applicable platform policies.

Payment does not guarantee acceptance of advertising content that violates these standards. If an advertising request cannot be accepted, the advertiser will be notified and any applicable payment will be refunded.

What Advertisers Provide

Advertisers are responsible for providing accurate business information, promotional copy or a business description, appropriate photos or graphics, and working website, contact, or social media links.

South Carolina Meet Up may make minor formatting, spelling, or copy edits when necessary for clarity and presentation. We will not substantially change the advertiser's intended message without approval.

Scheduling

Advertising placements are scheduled based on availability. Purchasing an advertising package does not automatically guarantee a specific publication date unless that date has been confirmed by South Carolina Meet Up.

Advertisers must submit all required promotional materials by the deadline provided. Materials received late may require the advertising placement to be rescheduled.

Advertising & Featured Placement Periods

When a package includes a 24-hour feature or other designated featured period, that time refers to the period of enhanced or featured placement.

Unless otherwise stated, eligible promotional posts may remain visible and searchable in the South Carolina Meet Up Facebook group after the featured placement period has ended.

Social Growth Spotlight

The Social Growth Spotlight is designed to introduce members of the South Carolina Meet Up community to an advertiser's social media presence and encourage interested members to discover, visit, or follow the advertiser on their selected platform or platforms.

South Carolina Meet Up does not create ongoing content, manage the advertiser's social media accounts, or provide social media management services as part of this package.

Follower counts, engagement, clicks, sales, leads, conversions, or other results are not guaranteed.

Performance & Results

South Carolina Meet Up provides promotional exposure and does not guarantee specific business or advertising results.

Audience reach and engagement may vary based on the content, timing, platform algorithms, audience interest, and other factors outside our control.

Historical community statistics, including group views, reach, membership, or engagement figures, are provided for informational purposes only. These statistics represent overall community performance and are not a guarantee that an individual advertisement will receive the same level of reach, views, impressions, or engagement.

Platform Availability

Advertising features offered through Facebook, Instagram, or other third-party platforms are subject to the availability, functionality, policies, and limitations of those platforms.

South Carolina Meet Up is not responsible for interruptions, outages, algorithm changes, platform restrictions, account limitations, or other third-party issues outside our control.

Prohibited Advertising

South Carolina Meet Up may reject advertising that includes or promotes scams, deceptive or misleading offers, illegal products or services, discriminatory content, sexually explicit material, unsafe products or services, deceptive financial claims, or other content that violates applicable law, platform policies, or South Carolina Meet Up community standards.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

Advertising purchases may be cancelled for a full refund before the advertisement has been scheduled and before promotional preparation has begun.

Once an advertising date has been confirmed and preparation has begun, payments are non-refundable but may be eligible for one reschedule at the discretion of South Carolina Meet Up.

No refund will be issued after an advertisement has been published.

If South Carolina Meet Up is unable to fulfill a paid advertising placement, the advertiser will be offered a rescheduled placement or a refund.

Advertiser Responsibility

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and fulfillment of their claims, offers, pricing, products, services, promotions, and business practices.

Paid advertising or promotional placement with South Carolina Meet Up does not constitute an endorsement, certification, partnership, sponsorship, or guarantee of the advertiser, its products, or its services by South Carolina Meet Up.

Rights to Submitted Materials

By submitting photographs, logos, graphics, written copy, or other promotional materials, the advertiser confirms that they own the materials or have permission to use them.

The advertiser grants South Carolina Meet Up permission to use the submitted materials solely as reasonably necessary to create and fulfill the purchased promotional placement.

Corrections & Advertiser-Supplied Information

South Carolina Meet Up will make reasonable efforts to correct errors caused by us.

Advertisers are responsible for reviewing the accuracy of the information and materials they submit, including business names, prices, dates, phone numbers, website addresses, social media handles, promotional claims, and other details. South Carolina Meet Up is not responsible for errors contained in advertiser-supplied information.

Community Posting Privileges

Purchasing an advertising package does not provide unrestricted permission to advertise, promote, or repeatedly post throughout the South Carolina Meet Up Facebook group.

Advertisers must continue to follow all community posting and promotional rules unless additional posting privileges are specifically included in the purchased package or separately authorized by South Carolina Meet Up.

Acknowledgment

By purchasing an advertising package, the advertiser acknowledges that they have reviewed and agree to these South Carolina Meet Up Advertising Policies & Important Information.
